The week before christmas we lose power and are out for days. Lose stuff from the fridge, $ for having to figure out how to keep more from being lost, and time doing marketing before everyone stops working. Good times. | | On the plus side, got 4 new subscriptions to a new thing I'm validating before this debacle happened. Glad we aren't starting till January though.

How do y’all handle seeing peer competitors surpassing you? I'm feeling super stressed right now and like I'm not doing enough/failing

Claude would make an *outstanding* McKinsey consultant. This has got to be the most corporate diplomatic way I've ever been told my projects have scope creep :joy:. This was the final writeup in planning mode after iterating on a plan.

I've been doing some client projects as part of a team, and it's made me realize I really miss collaborating with others. Freelancing and building a SaaS is super fun and rewarding but it can also be lonely at times.

I think in my ideal world I'd be collaborating with a designer and a marketing/sales guru and just build an amazing product as a team.

Claude has been down for me all morning. I can't sign in and use claude code. :woozy_face:

That thing where you're bankrupting yourself on domain renewals for 500 different ideas; and you let one of them go briefly. Then you REALLY need it. And then this happens, thus justifying your ridiculous hoarding of domains. Yeah that.

I've been DM'ing X users about an auto DM'ing follower tool I built. Hyped it up. Then 1 user actually signs up with a free month trial carrot I dangled. Then I get things are on :fire: feedback. Today I realized the new chrome extension package is in review and hasn't been approved. The auto DM'ing feature can't even be used yet... :face-palm:

Venting time, I’ve been confused and directionless when it comes to my entrepreneurial goals for the last couple of years. I finally thought, why not vent a bit to the Ramen Club and see if they can help me find some new goals and a proper direction. | | Long story short, after over a decade of trying to build some products, most of which didn’t really have a any monetization plan, I’ve made two products that have made me money, first https://norde.io that I’ve pretty much abandoned, it made me probably somewhere between $5000 and $10,000 over the years. Mostly in the beginning. Then I made https://baseline.is which was a much bigger success, I’ve made over $100k from it, mainly from AppSumo launches I did. I got stuck at $1000MRR, I just couldn’t get above that due to churn. The problem, as I see it, was that I built it for small businesses, but they don’t really understand branding or the value in keeping it, so they churn like crazy. In the end I felt I got held back by my AppSumo

Getting a new business off the ground is so difficult, lol. Sent like 200 personalised emails, posting every day and mostly receiving nothing back. Then suddenly - a breakthrough! I've got a couple of leads, one ghosted, one said yes. Okay great, let's start making ads with AI for them - and that's even harder. Lol | | I'm fine, just venting!
