Good afternoon, Internet!

I am currently thinking about a fun intellectual project I should probably get my hands on.

Peter Thiel read about René Girard, his theory of mimetic desire, and applied it in business with the idea that "competition is for losers", etc. etc.

I am pretty sure that such things could be done with tons of other concepts, and theories.

Basically, repurposing ideas from philosophy, economics, theology, whatever! and rewriting about it in a business context.

Like, what could Plato's world of forms be in a business context? Or Carl Schmitt's friend-enemy distinction, used in positioning matters? etc. etc.

In some sense, a lot of intellectuals keep doing that over the course of history. Reading things, making discovery in the practical world, and then writing about it, with their own twist.
