Journal

Good morning, Internet!

This morning, I'm waiting for my car to be picked up by a friend, since my exhaust system feel on the ground.

I'm also generating some new pages for Wikistral, mainly pages I linked to Wikipedia on this website. "Dogfooding", as they say (I hate this expression 🤣).

Yesterday night, I set up (again) a RSS reader, online this time, all running on a VPS. I put tons of feeds in there, I'd say it's a way better way to consume media than what I was doing earlier. I also learned about a french startup called Abstrakt, on the Lightpanda Discord server. I was thinking about doing very similar, but never acted on it (I would have no clue about how to find customers for such an offering). The team seems to be great, I'm pretty sure they'll make a hit!

Another random thought: I probably should turn something like http://technovelgy.com into a nice daily/weekly newsletter. That is definitely something I'd like to read from a daily basis, and it may be the case for other people as well. I should definitely consider setting up something like it over the weekend, probably on Substack/Kessel.media.

Good afternoon, Internet!

I asked Claude Code to start iterating on the first 30 issues of my Technovelgy-based newsletter. The pitch is something like: every single day, receive an idea coming from science fiction. It's all scheduled on Kit.com for now, as it seemed like one of the only platforms with an API access (besides Resend, I actually could have considered Resend as well, but anyways, I could change that later). It is hosted on hyperstition.kit.com, and people can subscribe to it in there. I do not plan to promote it for now, I'll be testing whether I actually enjoy reading it myself before telling the world about it.

As a small side quest, I'll attempt to write a dmenu-like application in Go this evening. Just recreational programming, nothing serious.
